We first introduced you to Matt Pierce and his Primal Pacs back in December 2010, when the Pacs became the first ever Whole9 Approved jerky snack kit. Since then, we’ve been handing out samples at our Foundations of Nutrition workshops, spreading the grass-fed love on Facebook and Twitter and snacking on the Pacs during our own travels and adventures.
Now, Primal Pacs isn’t some giant corporation, churning out millions of Pacs a day on an assembly line. Matt is a small business owner based in Seattle, WA, and Primal Pacs are a pretty new company. As such, he hasn’t had capacity to offer our readers special discounts on his products… until now!
From now through Sunday, May 15th, Whole9 readers will get free shipping on every Primal Pac and jerky order by entering the code “whole9” at checkout.
We’re thrilled to be able to offer our readers such a high quality jerky snack kit AND free shipping, so jump on it and visit www.primalpacs.com today to place your Whole30-approved order.
We can help you live the Whole9 life.

I’m confused. This says that it goes until Sunday that’s already passed, but was posted today…
May 8th was last weekend. I assume you mean May 15th?
Oops. That’s what happens when we draft posts a week ahead of time! Corrected, thanks for the heads-up.
Is shipping free to Canada to? I usually assume with something like this that it’s States only but I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Trevor – we’ll check for you. Sit tight!
Best,
Melissa
Trevor,
Please email Matt Pierce directly to inquire about shipments to Canada. His email is primalpacs(at)gmail(dot)com.
Best,
Melissa
The coupon code ‘whole9’ does not work
Ordered some last week and received them a few days later. LOVE them! The meat is super tasty without being overwhelmingly salty. The mango adds a yummy sweetness. Great for an on-the-go snack.
Ian, unfortunately, the discount code expired (as stated in the post). It’s still a great deal for an awesome product, though!
I’m confused. I thought Whole9 was against processed foods? Chopped and formed beef jerky is the SPAM of the jerky world. Seems very contradictory to what you preach.
Steve,
Your comment is in extremely poor taste, and disappoints us. We understand you want to promote your own brand of jerky snack kit, but to do so here – and in this fashion – is distasteful, and won’t win you any favors with our readers. However, as we make a practice not to censor comments on our site, we’ll let yours stand..
We have explained in detail why we believe Primal Pacs ingredients are of the highest quality, AND that their food (like all processed snacks) should be used in “emergencies” only, not as everyday meals and snacks.
Melissa
I bet if most of your readers knew exactly what you were endorsing they would be extremely disappointed as well. As a nutrition educational company, I think you can serve your readers much better by getting behind a processed jerky snack that is proven grassfed with a USDA label and comes from whole muscle meat. As opposed to the highly processed chopped and formed jerky that is exactly what paleo and primal lifestyle is not.
This is less about me promoting my own brand (our customers do that for us), but instead more about Whole 9 recommending a product that goes against the philosophy of their own brand.
Speaking as a Whole9 reader and someone with experience in the jerky world, I believe this recommendation is in poor taste to what you are about.
Steve,
You’ve already expressed to us a lack of respect for us and our message in personal exchanges, so it’s hard to take your comments here at face value. We don’t go your website and disparage your business and perspective, so we’d appreciate it if you’d refrain from doing so here. You can write or say whatever you want elsewhere, but you don’t get to use our site as a platform to sell your product. Any further comments will be deleted.
