We’re taking some of our own advice and spending the next two weeks on vacation in Mexico. We’re in a tiny little town about an hour north of Puerta Vallarta, where there isn’t much tourism… but the beach (and locals) are fabulous. We’re eating amazing food, napping in the sunshine and taking in the local sights – like this Christmas parade down Main Street in De Lo Marcos. We managed to jump in on the action just long enough to snap a photo with the main attractions, and figured this would be the perfect virtual Christmas card.
So Merry Christmas and happy, healthy holidays to you and your families, from Dallas & Melissa.

Sayulita is gorgeous. theres a lady that makes amazing rum fruit drinks and pours it right into a pineapple. And dont for get to try the shrimp ceviche. amazing.
oh….rum drink lady is right on the beach.
WOW! For a second I thought you were on Duval Street :) Enjoy a deserved vacation. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Melissa and Muttonchops! You guys look great!
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks for all your hard work, you deserve a vacation.
Dallas,
Your moustache is glorious.
I love your site BUT it is TOO cute that you can scoot off to the warmer climates for Christmas. It is time that those of us of in the western world got a grip on things and took on responsibility for the societal and environmental messes that we have created- my Christmas will be held close to home- no air travel, shopping in the neighbourhood and a celebration of family. It means cold weather, at this time no snow (it will come), power outages and a resolution that “we can do this”! It is time for all of us to step up and contribute rather than just be consumers.
Enjoy your vacation – Dallas: lovin’ the new ‘stache.
Merry Christmas. Mexico looks like much fun.
Are you guys ending up in different places? Melissa looks to be the best dressed person for several hundred miles.
Melissa and Dallas,
You have contributed enough to your gigantic family of Whole9-ers to deserve a year of vacationing in Mexico. you guys are awesome (and i’m not just talking about The Stache). ENJOY yourselves!
Merry Christmas!
@All: The ‘stache was just one stop on the “Beard is Going Bye-Bye” train. These days, it’s a 3-day shadow and wicked sideburns – still awesome.
We’re spending time running up and down the coast – from Sayulita (surfing lessons, if all goes well!) up to Las Pinitas for the market. It’s all beautiful and this working 15 minutes a day thing is kinda nice… makes me want to move here and make feather earrings to sell to tourists.
Merry Christmas and happy almost New Year,
Melissa
I wish I were in a warmer climate for the holidays :/
Nice SFH shirt!
