Oh Em Gee!!!!!!! So exciting!!
All right! It’s coming on my birthday…what a great present.
This is perfect timing! My wife and I were planning on starting a full-on Paleo lifestyle on October 24 when we get back from Aruba. I cleaned out the fridge and cabinets today in preparation, there’s so much extra room now. The success guide and the new Whole 30 will definitely help us out. Thank you so much.
Just had a paleorgasm.
Yah – thanks much!!
@Ryan – LMAO. That was funny.
Great timing for me. I’m starting the Whole30 on October 18th (the day after my marathon). I’ve been marathon training since May, and feel like this going to be a good way to hit the “reset” button, and jump start better eating habits going into the winter.
It’s so awesome to see how the 30 day challenge has grown and adapted as time went on. Good luck and keep up the great work guys!

Great timing! I will be 4 weeks post-partum (3rd boy) and the home cooked meals from friends…while yummy…are killing me!! This will be a great way to restart and really get back on track with my health. Thanks!
Very exciting. I’m on day 6 right now. Looking forward to the guide as well as any new requirements. Feeling great so far!!
Looking forward to it! Our whole family is on Day 3, using the previous guidelines. The planning tools will be great motivation and help us to keep it going!
Hey guys!
1/2 Way through my first 30, thanks to the seminar at CrossFitMN and the 30 Day challenge. I feel great and am having fun making up some creative meals!
Looking forward to 3.0 and seeing what is next.
I just finished a Half Ironman and was eating everything just to get enough calories. I cracked about 3 weeks in to training as I started a fairly strict paleo about a week before really stepping up the training. I assume I wasn’t eating enough fat. I told my wife tonight that I was getting off the junk food and then we say this article about Happy Meals http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20101012/bs_yblog_upshot/mcdonalds-happy-meal-resists-decomposition-for-six-months. It must be a sign that the time is right to getting back on track as you annouced the launch of V3 or at least I’m telling myself that.
@ Everyone,
Thanks for all the support. We’ve been working hard to pull this “Whole30 Success Guide” together for weeks now (because YOU asked for it!), and we’re super-excited about it. The Whole30 program will ALWAYS be available for free on the W9 site, though with 1300+ comments on Whole30, Version 2.0, we simply can’t continue to answer all the individual questions/comments that come in. So… we’ve poured our time into creating a guide that’ll help get everyone off on the right foot with their Whole30 experience, but we’ve also made it a valuable resource for use well beyond the Whole30 (including a shopping guide and a foolproof meal planning template). But… it isn’t going to be free. We think that’ll be okay, given how much money we’ve observed people spending on personal training services, gym memberships, and supplements, all in the pursuit of optimal health & fitness long-term. So, think of our Success Guide as one small piece of that long-term plan… a plan that STARTS with your Whole30. Good luck to everyone starting or about to start the Whole30. As usual, we’ll be participating by doing the Whole30 along with everyone. Here’s to a month towards better health!
Just what I need right now! I need to get more strict and serious about my food (even though I haven’t been too bad), and a month your plan will be perfect. Thanks!
Awesome! I’m on day 14 right now, but a new guide sounds good still.
Yay! I’m ready to do it again, full on. It’s great to do it with the group so we can get support and advice during the 30 days.
@ Ryan – crack me up!
Hey there, I’m excited to get started!!! Can we pre-order and how much will the new program be?
I’m ready to try this… excited actually. I’ve been eating Paleo to the best of my ability for the last 6 months. I’ve lost 10 lbs. I have a few questions.
1. I eat tons of salads and generally look for organic low sugar balsamic vinaigrettes, what do you suggest?
2. I can’t drink black coffee, can I use heavy whipping cream or should I use coconut milk?
3. What kinds of breakfast meats can I eat? I have been eating processed turkey or chicken sausage. (I do read labels and check fat, sodium and sugar amounts)
As I write this I am making a list of things I need to cut out in order to go completely clean: coffee creamers, string cheese, protein bars/shakes, Feta and sweeteners.
Happy journey to all…
I was just browsing your site (again, I keep coming back for all the great info) and happened upon this post What great timing–I have been Paleo-ish for the last year but fell off the wagon during the summer when I moved and didn’t have a kitchen for 3 weeks. I’ve had the worst time getting back to good clean food, and this is perfect. I’m going to see if I can convince my parents to do the challenge with me, as my Mom was just diagnosed with the beginnings of osteoporosis, and they both have arthritis and some other ailments that Paleo often helps.
I’m looking forward to the Success Guide! Will you announce it on Twitter when it’s available?
Hello!
I keep checking back–and the time is drawing near–to see when the new materials will be available?? Also, how about a discount for past workshop participants?? Hint, hint? :-)
Love what you guys do.
Melissa,
The Underground Sisterhood is starting another wave of ladies (and lots of s.o.’s this time) through the Whole30. Everyone who has comlpeted the 30 days so far has had amazing results and goes on to spread the message!
We can’t wait for Version 3.0, and I can’t wait for one of your coaches training seminars to come to southern California! Thanks for all of your support and everything that you and Dallas do to equip us and our athletes. Whole9 is educating and facilitating our success!
Thank you!!

Michelle (and EVERYONE),
We’ll be posting the Whole30 Success Guide TOMORROW. We planned it so you had time to order it, print it, and plan ahead over the weekend, since the Whole30, v3.0, will be out on SUNDAY (the Whole30 will ALWAYS be free). On price: we’ll be offering our 30-page Success Guide at a reduced “introductory price” for the first week (for less than a nice dinner out).
Robin,
YOU are exactly the person we wrote the Success Guide for it. All of your questions have been answered in old comments on the Whole30 post, but we’ve also addressed them in the (optional) Success Guide, too. Unfortunately, with 2000+ comments on our Whole30 posts, we don’t have time to respond individually anymore. You could either search through the previous Whole30 comments (free) or purchase our Success Guide tomorrow.
Angela,
Our Success Guide will go up on our Facebook page, which pushes to Twitter, so yes. Glad you’re sharing the Good Food Word with loved ones, as we have.
Kelly,
We don’t have a “workshop attendees discount”, but we ARE offering a discounted “introductory price” for the first week. Thanks for your kind words.
Jill,
Thanks for sharing good info with folks via your Underground Sisterhood Whole30 page. We don’t have a Trainer’s workshop scheduled in SoCal at this point, but we’ve got them scheduled in Portland, Oregon, and Houston, Texas, and are working on one in the NYC area. Stay tuned to our sidebar for additional dates/locations. Or… find us a host in your area ;)
ARGH!
I’m so desperate to start the Whole 30 but i’m on a Stag holiday from the 24th to 31st. The chances of not consuming any alcohol is near impossible! Is it okay to start as soon as i get back?
I know i should start now and not drink but this isn’t an everyday occurence and after all it is a stag!
Neil
@Neil: You can jump on board whenever you like – the program is always active and people are always rotating in and out. I might suggest you read the Whole30 Version 3.0 post when it comes out on Sunday and remind yourself of what’s in store when you return from your holiday – it may help you keep your celebrations in check such that you can totally enjoy yourself without completely destroying yourself in the process.
Best,
Melissa
Day 4 | Yesterday was tough, I felt super super tired. I’m feeling better today.
I’m finding if I can prepare the night before it’s so much easier. I’m also cooking larger quantities to last a few days. I’ve not had sugar for 4 days in anything, had to stop drinking coffee because of this. (No black thank you!)
Does anyone have teenagers doing this? My daughter will eat anything I make, but I’m finding it difficult when it comes to her school lunches. It’s the sandwich part… what can replace a sandwich when there is not a microwave to warmup food. Not mention she’s not going to do that. Any ideas?
Thanks! I’m excited to be a part of the kick off Sunday. I purchased the success guide. It’s great and I highly reccomend it.
