Well, maybe not the WHOLE internet. But we are commandeering two hours of virtual real estate from the Athlete’s Forum to host the first ever web-based Whole9 Nutrition Workshop.
Q: What is the Athlete’s Forum?
A: The Athlete’s Forum is a virtual space where knowledgeable owners, coaches, and athletes (presenters) can connect with those anxious to learn (attendees). They provide a more interactive, convenient, and affordable option than other certifications and seminars.
Q: I have no idea what you just said.
A: Thanks to this cool idea called “The Athlete’s Forum”, Whole9 will be hosting a virtual Nutrition Workshop on Sunday, March 7th, for people who want to hear our full presentation but don’t live near a scheduled event location.
Q: That sounds sweet!
A: That’s not really a question, but it is totally sweet.
Q: Is this as interactive as a “live” workshop?
A: Sure is. We present our material and answer all your questions, just like our normal workshops. Plus, we keep these virtual gigs extra small – no more than 10 participants at a time. That means you get serious quality time with us, and tons of personal attention.
Q: How does it work?
A: You log in from your home computer. We do the same. Awesomeness ensues for the next two hours. You can either participate via video or through a chat box, so a web cam is helpful, but not necessary.
Q: What do I do to prepare for a Whole9 virtual Nutrition Workshop?
A: Nothing – that’s the best part. No need for a babysitter, a metal folding chair or time off from work. Hell, it’s the internet – you don’t even have to wear pants. Just grab a coffee, settle in on your couch and let the good times roll.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: A C-note, a Benjamin, $100 USD… but only if you register using our WHOLE9 code. That code gets you $10 off the regular price, and entitles you to some special attention, including the ability to request workshop topics before the event.
Q: Just tell me what to do.
A. We love it when our clients say that. To register, visit this Athlete’s Forum page, enter the code WHOLE9 (all caps) and add the workshop to your cart. Then place your order and email us to let us know you’re coming!
Q: One more question. The picture shows cake. Will there be cake?
A. Well, no. But there won’t be any dinosaurs either. We promise.
We can help you live the Whole9 life.

I am so there. Already signed up!
Can you have more than one person on a computer? For example if both my husband and I wanted to attend, is the cost $100 per computer or per person?
@Amber: Whoo-hoo! Shoot us an email (consulting/whole9life.com) so we can chat pre-workshop.
@Dori: While we can’t prevent you from having a friend, spouse or family member listening in, we ask that everyone respects the intention of these workshops, which are designed to keep each group extra small. If half the attendees brought a friend, and each friend started asking questions too, well… that’s not really fair to everyone else registered. As such, we ask that each computer registered have only ONE official “participant/speaker”. Make sense?
Thanks,
Melissa
Super cool. Of course, I’m still quitting my job, hitting the road and becoming a Whole9 groupie.
Hey guys-
I posted this on Robb’s website as well and figured i would ask here in hopes of more insight. I realize this is a disgusting occurence, but i would like to do something about it. After i eat, and usually only then, i develop a large amount of extremely viscous saliva at the base of my throat. I will clear my throat and spit (i know it’s unbecoming) over and over. This lasts for about 30 minutes post-meal. Any idea what could cause this? This has been happening for about 4 years, and i realize i should have done something much sooner. Thanks.
@Melissa: Next workshop location – Belize?
@John: There’s only one thing I can say to you – see your doctor. It would just be irresponsible of us to speculate. Best of luck to you.
Will there be more of these? I’m very interested (from holland so I wouldn’t be able to attend physically) but also a poor student. I’d need a month or three to save up ;)
@Melissa: Careful, I will hold you to that. At least there won’t be snow and I’m pretty sure neither of us would be cold.
@Naomi: Absolutely! We’re hoping to set these up on a recurring basis. Also, we’ve received a TON of requests for more information on the vegetarian perspective, both from vegetarians and coaches/trainers who have to talk to their clients about the pros and cons of a vegetarian diet. So we’re thinking of offering a variety of “special topic” workshops too! Stay tuned for more information.
