We’re off to the Left Coast this morning, to get a sneak peek of Robb Wolf’s new Paleolithic Solution Seminar. He’s doing his first “invite only” gig at his Chico, CA gym (NorCal S&C) on Sunday, and we’re heading out to preview his new material, expand our base of science-y nutrition goodness and review the event for our readers. Last time we spoke, we asked Robb what kind of stuff he planned to cover in his new-and-improved seminar. He replied, “It’s going to be a significant departure from what was covered in (the) CrossFit Nutrition Certification. Much of it relates to figuring out how to address specific digestive issues folks have, dialing in the optimum protein intake for an individual, and some assessments and fixes for over-reaching/over-training. It’s going to be a busy day!”
In addition, Robb is holding his first “open registration” PSS at CrossFit One World on Saturday, March 6th. He expanded on our conversation on his blog in relation to his One World seminar, saying, “In addition to the basics of endocrinology, autoimmunity, systemic inflammation, I’ll be able to touch on the pathophysiology of cancer, diabetes (both type 1 and type 2), neuro-degeneration (including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s), infertility and several other topics. The basics will of course be there too: fat loss, muscle gain, recovery, lifestyle factors that are synergistic or antagonistic to the performance, health and longevity.”
Robb has been a good friend and mentor to us, and we’re super excited to be a part of his first semianr. We plan to provide a full review late next week, so stay tuned to hear us share what we learned, relay our favorite Robb quotes and learn why you might want to check out a PSS for yourself. In the meantime, check out Robb’s Paleolithic Solution podcasts, available for streaming from his web site and through iTunes. He answers readers’ questions, breaks down complicated nutritional science so us non-biochemists can understand and engages in witty banter with his co-host, Andy Deas. Each podcast is an hour well spent, if you like to geek out on health and fitness topics as much as we do.
So until next week… keep spreading the Good Food Word!
